Acriflavine is used as a preventative and also treatment of Velvet (Oodinium spp) in aquarium fish. As with other treatments Acriflavine helps with fungal infections. It is also used as an antiseptic to treat open wounds.
Methylene Blue is used to treat fungal infections in aquarium fish. Its anti fungal properties help in the protection of new fish eggs. Also aids in removing Ich.
Malachite Green is used to treat fungal infections on fish and fish eggs. Effective on Gill (Dactylogyrus) and Skin (Gyrodactylus) Flukes, leeches and fish lice (argulus spp).
Directions for use:
Remove sick fish and place in a quarantine tank. Remove activated carbon from filtration system. Contains strong die that will stain ornaments.
Use 5mL per 20 Litres of aquarium water. For Tetras, scaleless or baby fish use 5mL per 40 Litres of aquarium water. Repeat dose after 3 days. A partial water change of 25% is recommended before application. Ensure aeration is adequate.
